Course 1: Ergonomics and Infection Control by Nancy Andrews From 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM - 3 CE units
Nancy Andrews is a Clinical Affairs Manager. She has published numerous articles and a renowned national instructor for Ergonomics and Infection Control.
Lunch: noon to 1 PM
Course 2: Oral Pathology by Dr. Roy Eversole
From 1-5 PM - 4 CE units
This seminar will focus on common and life-threatening oral pathologic diseases that confront the dental practitioner. This lecture will cover both soft tissue and bone lesions. In this review, emphasis will be placed on differential diagnosis, final diagnosis and formulation of a treatment strategy.
Dr. Roy Eversole is Professor and Chairman of Oral Pathology at UOP in 1998, he also runs an Oral Pathology Diagnosis Services in La Jolla jointly with Dr. Frank Howell. Dr. Eversole is a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral Medicine and Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology.

Course 1: Contemporary Orthodontics by David C. Pham, DDS, MS From 9:00 AM - 12:00 AM - 3 CE units
Dr. David Pham completed his specialty training in orthodontics at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He received a master degree in orthodontics at the University of Tennessee Dental Graduate School in 1991. He is a graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry where he earned his D.D.S. in 1989, and of the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he received his bachelor degree in 1982. Prior returning to study dentistry Dr. Pham has worked in the field of biomedical research and development. Dr. Pham is a diplomate of American Board of Orthodontics (board certified orthodontist), member of the American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Orange County Dental Association, and past president of California Association of Vietnamese American Dentists.

To unite the Vietnamese American Dentists in the state of California. To provide educational and scientific information, as well as courses that allow the exchange and enhancement of technical knowledge that better serves the community.
Association Profile
The California Association of Vietnamese-American Dentists (CAVAD) first was formed as an alumni of Vietnamese dentists in exile in 1982. November 1985 was the official birth of CAVAD. To date, CAVAD's membership has grown to over 160 active members (of about 400 Vietnamese dentists in Southern California). There are now members representing most dental specialties - oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, prosthodontics, pedodontics and endodontics.
